SILO joins efforts with leading public institutions towards the improvement of public services through Public Procurement of Innovation
The Secretary of State of Information Society and Digital Agenda (SESIAD for its initials in Spanish) will present its Plan of Impulse of the Human Language Technologies next April 25 in Madrid. The main objective of this plan is to develop pilot projects of human language technologies to improve public services (healthcare, public policy design, justice, etc.) and boost this industry in Spain through Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI). On this Info Day, SESIAD will announce the actions to follow and the existing opportunities to carry out PPI. Among other things, SESIAD will also launch the Preliminary Market Consultation. Murcia University (UM) along with the Conference of Spanish University Rectors (CRUE for its initials in Spanish) is leading a key R&D project named “HÉRCULES: Semantics of university research” funded by ERDF. The goal is to develop innovative technologies to harmonize and allow for the management of big data and information in the Spanish university system. The UM plans to develop this project by using Public Procurement of Innovation. Next April 26, CRUE will launch a Preliminary Market Consultation at its headquarters.
