SILO is carrying out the intermediate evaluation and updating of the Regional Strategy for Research and Innovation for a Smart Specialization (RIS3) of Castilla y León 2014-2020
SILO was commissioned with the intermediate evaluation and update of the RIS3 of Castilla y León 2014-2020 in March 2017. SILO is working in coordination with the administrative agencies of the Junta de Castilla y León involved both in the implementation of measures of R&D and of the Information Society (Digital Agenda), as in the monitoring and evaluation of the Regional Operational Programs European Funds.
During the first part of the project, the intermediate evaluation of the RIS3 was carried out, which consisted in analyzing the new context, the development of the strategy, and the preparation of the mid-term evaluation report including conclusions and recommendations.
The RIS3 is currently being updated, for which the existing SWOT, the regional specialization pattern, the thematic priorities and the objectives, the governance, monitoring and evaluation systems and the financial plan are being reviewed. Likewise, a series of emblematic initiatives of transversal scope are being introduced as a novelty that seeks to centralize efforts and multiply the results in R&D. It is expected that during the first quarter of 2018 the final document of the RIS3 update would be published.
