SILO has successfully concluded the works on identifying and analyzing the scientific offer of Cantabria. This project was developed for the Regional Development Society of Cantabria (SODERCAN for its initials in Spanish).
The main objective of the project has been to identify and priorize the institutes, centers and R&D groups that have the best position compared to their regional counterparts, in order to reach the Scientific Excellence in their respective fields. Along the project, the consulting team has done different tasks among which are the analysis of eight R&D Institutes and a University and two benchmarks: one on best international practices on research excellence and the other on reference players in different scientific fields to which the Cantabria centers belong.
As a result SILO has mapped scientific capabilities and has identified the main R&D centers that are ready to face the challenges of future programs of scientific excellence in Spain (besides Severo Ochoa program and Maria de Maeztu program).
Once again SILO has demonstrated its interest in and commitment with scientific excellence and policy development to help regional R&D centers become an active part of the national and international scenario of scientific excellence.
