Since November 2017 to June 2018 SILO has advised BIOIB for the drafting of its strategic plan 2018-2023
BIOIB’s principal aim is to increase and reinforce the competitiveness of the economy of the islands in the long term, promoting sectors that contribute to the economic development of the region.
The Strategic Plan is to be implemented in 2018-2023 and has been framed within the ECRI project co-financed by the EU COSME program. To achieve the drafting of the strategic plan, an exhaustive analysis of the existing documentation at European, national and regional level was carried out; key agents were identified; and working meetings were organized with the members of the cluster. All this while working in a coordinated manner with the cluster management thus ensuring the drafting of an ambitious yet realistic strategic plan.
BIOIB has organized a conference on bioeconomy in Mallorca on November 8 at which the plan will be presented. Diego Moñux, SILO´s executive partner, will attend the conference as an strategy and policy expert.
